El Secretario
de Estado Mike Pompeo es un conocido cristiano evangélico. Y no es el único en
la administración del Twitter. Y eso no es un problema de acuerdo a la libertad
de credo. Pero hace tres años, Pompeo dio un discurso en su mega iglesia de Kansas
y explicó que el ve las batallas de los Estados Unidos en el Medio Oriente como
parte de una guerra mayor entre el bien y el mal. Y en fecha más reciente, en
su discurso en la American University en El Cairo, Pompeo dijo que en su
oficina del departamento de estado: "Tengo una Biblia abierta en mi
escritorio para recordarme de Dios y su palabra, y la verdad". Entonces es
cuando empezamos a pensar si Pompeo no se está pasando la separación entre Iglesia
y Estado por sus entrepiernas.
El apoyo evangélico
a la administración actual es innegable: Alrededor del 80 por ciento de los
evangélicos blancos votaron por el Twitter en las elecciones presidenciales de
2016. Y en 2018, según una encuesta realizada en 2018 por el Public Religion
Research Institute (PRRI), el 61% de los evangélicos dice que los Estados
Unidos van en la dirección correcta (cuando la mayoría del total de los
norteamericanos piensan justo lo contrario). Y no es un grupo para tomarlo a la
ligera: Más de una cuarta parte (25.4 por ciento) de los cristianos de EE. UU.
se identifican como evangélicos (según los últimos datos de Pew) , de ellos el
76 por ciento son blancos, y tienen un gran efecto en las elecciones porque la
gran mayoría acude a votar.
El mismo apoyo de los evangélicos ha tenido
Bolsonaro en Brasil o AMLO en México. ¿Cómo es posible que los ¨valores de familia¨
evangélicos congenien con un tipo como el Twitter en Jefe con tres divorcios y
tantos escándalos de prostitutas de pago que no sabe ni de qué va la Biblia? ¿Cómo un gobierno a la izquierda como el de AMLO
combina el ateísmo del ¨opio de las
masas¨ con ese grupo de renacidos en el Señor? Muy, sencillo, esto no va de ideología. Va de privilegio y poder. Porque cuando la evangelización
y la ¨difusión de la palabra¨ no atraen suficientes clientes que paguen el
diezmo hay que imponer el punto de vista y someter al contrario. Es una nueva Cruzada.
Y está funcionando para ellos.
Por eso, en Enero de 2016, el Twitter en Jefe en
su discurso en la Universidad Liberty dijo descaradamente: "Vamos a
proteger el cristianismo. Puedo decir eso. No tengo que ser políticamente
correcto. Dos Corintios 3:17, eso es todo el juego de pelota" .
Y no olvidemos como comenzó la fiesta evangélica.
El 29 de enero, 2001, a tan solo 9 días del inicio de su presidencia, George W. Bush firmo en la Casa Blanca una
orden abriendo una oficina de caridad “basada sobre la fe” para negocios. Esos polvos
trajeron estos lodos.

ACCORDING TO POLITICS
Secretary of
State Mike Pompeo is a well-known evangelical Christian. And he's not the only one in the Twitter
administration. And that is not a problem according to the freedom of creed.
But three years ago, Pompeo gave a speech at his Kansas mega church and explained
that he sees the battles of the United States in the Middle East as part of a
greater war between good and evil. And more recently, in his speech at the
American University in Cairo, Pompeo said that in his state department office:
"I have an open Bible on my desk to remind me of God and his word, and the
truth." That is when we begin to think if Pompeo is not passing the
separation between Church and State by his crotch.
Evangelical support for the current
administration is undeniable: Around 80 percent of white evangelicals voted for
Twitter in the 2016 presidential election. And in 2018, according to a survey
conducted in 2018 by the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI), 61% of
evangelicals say that the United States is going in the right direction (when
most of the total Americans think just the opposite). And it's not a group to
take lightly: More than a quarter (25.4 percent) of Christians in the United
States. UU they identify themselves as evangelicals (according to the latest
data from Pew), of which 76 percent are white, and they have a great effect on
elections because the vast majority go to vote.
The same support of the evangelicals has had
Bolsonaro in Brazil or AMLO in Mexico. How is it possible that evangelical
"family values" get along with a guy like the Twitter in Chief with
three divorces and so many scandals of paid prostitutes that he does not even
know what the Bible is about? How does a government on the left like that of
AMLO combine the atheism of the "opium of the masses" with that group
of reborn in the Lord? Very simple, this is not about ideology. It's about
privilege and power. Because when evangelization and ¨diffusion of the word¨ do
not attract enough clients to pay tithing, they must impose their point of view
and submit the opposite. It is a new Crusade. And it is working for them.
That's why, in January 2016, the Twitter in
Chief in his speech at Liberty University said shamelessly: "We're going
to protect Christianity, I can say that, I do not have to be politically correct,
two Corinthians 3:17, that's all ball game".
And let's not forget how the
evangelical feast began. On January 29, 2001, just nine days after the start of
his presidency, George W. Bush signed an order in the White House opening a
charity office "based on faith" for business. Those powders brought
these muds.
